About this event
Renaud Capuçon, conductor & violin (2026/27 TSO Spotlight Artist) Program: Sohy: Thème varié for Violin and Orchestra R. Schumann: Violin Concerto Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 3 "Scottish" Spotlight Artist Renaud Capuçon plays and conducts a program that begins with the luminous colours of Charlotte Sohy's rarely heard Thème varié, followed by Robert Schumann's soulful, long-hidden Violin Concerto brought to life by one of today's great violinists. Mendelssohn's "Scottish" Symphony, inspired by the composer's travels, crowns the concert with its restless energy and stormy drama.
